If you’ve saved a long silk skirt for your bridal look, start with where it sits at the waist and where the hem falls with your shoes. Those details will shape how it looks with your corset. Our Maxi Silk Corset Set includes a bias-cut floor-length skirt. Our made-to-measure maxi skirt has silk-habotai lining, an elastic waistband and a standard length of 110 cm.
Compare the skirt photographs with your planned corset and shoes. Where should the waistband sit? Where should the hem finish with your wedding shoes? Do you want the diagonal seam shown in the listing, or do you want to request its removal? The page says both the length and that seam can be adjusted by request.
Confirm sizing and try the finished outfit
The skirt is made to your measurements. Room 22’s measurement guide explains our measuring method. Confirm which measurements we need for your skirt before sending them. Use a soft tape on the skin, record inches or centimetres clearly and double-check the numbers. We may ask for additional measurements or a photo for an individual order.
Leave time to try the finished outfit before the wedding. When the skirt arrives, try it with the planned corset, underwear and wedding shoes. Walk, sit, turn and use any stairs you expect at the venue. Look at the waistband, hem and lining during those movements. Note any point that catches, pulls or needs adjusting, and contact us with questions before the wedding day.
