Your second look needs its own packing list and its own place in the changing room. Keep the garment with everything you tested it with, save the fastening and care instructions on your phone, and decide where the first outfit will go. That prevents the reception shoes or one detachable sleeve from spending the wedding at home.
Pack the complete look
- Dress, corset and skirt, plus every scarf, sleeve or other detachable piece.
- The exact underwear, hosiery and shoes used during the final try-on.
- Jewellery, bag and hair accessories for look two.
- Fastening instructions and the name of the person helping with the change.
- A clean garment bag or agreed storage place for the ceremony outfit.
List every component separately. The Room 22 Mini Silk Corset Set, for example, contains a corset, mini skirt and matching scarf. A lace dress may have detachable sleeves. “Second look” on a packing sheet is too vague to catch the missing third piece.
Prepare the changing room
If the outfit has a lace-up corset, choose the helper before the wedding and practise together. Room 22 corsets arrive pre-laced; save the corset lacing guide and send it to that person. Put the start and return times into the schedule using the advice in our reception-dress change guide.
Keep bags, jewellery and sharp accessories away from the garment until you dress. The Room 22 care guide advises against rubbing silk against bags or sharp accessories and says not to spot-clean silk directly, which can leave watermarks or streaks. Its corsets are dry-clean only and should not be washed, soaked or wrung. Save the instructions instead of improvising a stain treatment at the venue.
Do one final check against the packed items, then place the second look where the change will happen. Tell your helper where both garment bags belong.
