Mini, Midi, or Maxi for a Bridal Second Look?

Polina from Room 22 Atelier

10 September 2026

Start with the look you’re picturing for the evening: shoes on show with a mini, an in-between hem, or silk all the way to the floor. Then think about where you’ll wear it and where you’ll change. Room 22 currently shows mini and floor-length designs. If you want a midi, ask us to confirm that change for the specific design rather than assuming every skirt can be shortened to the same result.

Compare the lengths

With a mini, your shoes become a bigger part of the outfit. Our Mini Silk Corset Set pairs a scoop-neck corset with a mini skirt and scarf. The Couture Silk Corset Mini Dress keeps the corseted bodice and mini skirt in one continuous garment. Compare those two when deciding whether you want a visible break between separates or one uninterrupted silhouette.

A maxi gives you a longer silhouette. Our Maxi Silk Corset Set has a corset, bias-cut floor-length skirt and scarf. The Train Silk Corset Set has a corset and a 110 cm skirt with an approximately 40 cm added train; height can change the train length. For either floor-length option, tell us the length you need rather than relying on the name “maxi.”

A midi sits between those reference points, but Room 22 does not currently present a named midi design in the five styles shown on the homepage. Bring a reference that shows where you want the hem to finish. We include minor length changes for standard designs, while a larger redesign may need an individual discussion.

Prepare a length request

Before sending your inquiry, write down the shoes you will wear, whether the venue has stairs or uneven ground, and where the outfit change will happen. Include the design name, desired hem position, your height, reference images and wedding deadline. We can talk through the hem you want and confirm what works for the design. Use our measurement guide when preparing the body measurements requested for your order.
